About the project

Built around one simple question:
“What does this resemble?”

What’s My Weed is a read-only reference library—not a marketplace, review site, social network or substitute for laboratory testing.

What the site contains

The current library contains 100 cannabis cultivar profiles spanning classic landrace-derived lines, Skunk, Haze, Kush/OG, Chem/Diesel, Cookies-era dessert cultivars, fruit/candy families and several CBD-forward references. Each profile includes lineage notes, family, visual traits, aroma, flavor, commonly associated terpenes, broad potency positioning and subjective effect descriptors.

Why the wording is deliberately careful

Cannabis naming is inconsistent. A name can outlive the original genetics, breeder histories can conflict, and different producers can sell materially different products under the same cultivar label. That is why the site uses phrases such as “commonly cited,” “associated with” and “reference profile” instead of presenting every market story as settled fact.

How photography is handled

Photography is labeled by evidence level. If the public source specifically identifies the pictured cultivar, the site marks it as a verified strain photo. Other photographs are visibly labeled as reference photos and are not claimed to depict that exact cultivar. Image authors and licenses are listed on the Image Credits page.

What is intentionally absent

No accounts, reviews, comments, ratings, user uploads, sales links or purchase tools are included. The focus is a fast, well-organized educational reference.
